When first culture Gaelic, I've used this program alone, without outside resources, except for an English-Irish Dictionary.Without even effective through the full program, I was conversational with native speakers (from Ireland) and could communicate the basics. My pronounciation was very good (awaited to this "Irish Now" program) and native speakers noted that I did not have the usual "foreign" accent when I spoke Gaelic. However, I was told that I was discussion like someone's grandmother. So if you are worried about sounding current, I suggest supplemental notes, such as "Colloquial Irish" or other such resources.This program has a lot of good qualities. The largest compliments I got after using this program were for knowing rare or unusual words and for my pronounciation and accent. There are many culture methods included in this program including video/audio conversations, crosswords, sports meeting, pronounciation practice, reading samples (including excepts from "Angela's Ashes" in the version I have). There is also a HUGE file of grammar. When I printed it out it was numerous hundred pages long and included simple and advanced grammatical explanations. If I had not used the Grammar Pro that came with Irish Now, then I would not have been capable to grasp declension as quickly as I did. I do not dredge up if the Grammar Pro comes standard or if I got it as a bonus. I first began studying Gaelic numerous being ago, and this program is what gave me my initiation.
